Terms & Conditions
Effective date: 7 August 2026 · Last updated: 7 August 2026
These Terms have not been reviewed by a solicitor — worth doing before relying on them for a store submission, particularly Section 11 and Section 12.
These Terms govern your use of Gully Cricket (the "App") and this website, provided by We Ingenious ("we", "us"), based in the United Kingdom. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.
1. What the App is
Gully Cricket lets you score local and amateur cricket matches ball by ball, manage teams and players, view statistics, and share live scores and scorecards with teammates, opponents, and spectators.
It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the BCCI, ICC, ECB, or any official cricket governing body. It is not a gambling, betting, or wagering product of any kind.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you confirm that a parent or guardian has permission for you to use the App.
3. Your account
- You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure, and for activity that happens under your account.
- Please provide accurate information when creating your profile.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Content you submit
Using the App, you — or a scorer acting for your team — may enter information about other people: teammates' and opponents' names, Cricket IDs, and how they performed.
- By entering another person's information, you confirm you have a proper basis for doing so — typically that you have their permission, or that you are the designated scorer or team admin for a real match they're taking part in.
- Match, scoring, and statistics data is shared with other participants by design — that's how shared scorecards work. See the Privacy Policy Section 5.
- You keep ownership of the content you submit. You grant us the right to store, process, and display it as needed to operate the App — for example, showing a scorecard to everyone in a match.
- Please don't upload content that is unlawful, abusive, or that you don't have the right to share, and don't add another person's photo or details without their consent.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Harass, impersonate, or misrepresent yourself as another person
- Enter deliberately false match data intending to deceive — for example, falsifying statistics in a real competitive league
- Attempt to access another user's account, or another match's data, without authorisation
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the App's normal operation, beyond what the law permits
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
6. Shared match records
Cricket scoring is inherently shared — a match record involves several people, and they rely on it for their own scorecards and statistics.
This means match data you administer may remain visible to, and relied upon by, other participants even after you delete your account. Your personal profile is deleted; the shared match record isn't. This is explained in full in the Privacy Policy Section 9.
7. House rules and scoring accuracy
Gully cricket is played under many informal variations — Last Man Standing, smaller or uneven squads, Super Overs, local ground rules. The App supports common variations, but scoring is entered by people, and we don't guarantee it's free of human error.
Scorecards reflect what was entered. They are not a substitute for an official scorer's record in a sanctioned competition.
8. Intellectual property
The App's design, code, and branding belong to us. Using the App doesn't give you any ownership rights in the App itself. Your own match data and content remain yours, as described in Section 4.
9. Third-party services
The App relies on Google Firebase for accounts, data storage, notifications, and crash diagnostics, on Supabase for long-term match archives, and optionally on Google Sign-In. Your use of those features is also subject to those providers' own terms.
10. Termination
- You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time (Profile → Delete account).
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, including abusive behaviour or deliberately fraudulent match data.
11. Disclaimers and your legal rights
The App is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available". We make reasonable efforts to keep scoring accurate and the service running, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost — offline handoff and multi-device syncing are best-effort.
If you're a consumer, nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights. In the UK, that includes your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
Subject to Section 11, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the App — including loss of match data, disputes between users over match records, or service interruptions.
13. Changes
We may update the App or these Terms over time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, communicated in the App. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country of residence, and you may be able to bring proceedings in your local courts.
